RegionChanger is a utility application that allows you to change the system region of a device.

Once installed, the app will appear on the device's home screen.

Tap "Enable" to get a confirmation alert, and "YES" to change to the U.S. region.

iPhone and other devices sold in regions such as Japan and Cambodia will make a loud camera shutter sound even if the device is in silent mode.

You can disable it, for example.

Apply and Reboot, ldrestart, or userspace reboot to apply the change.

Change file:

/var/containers/Shared/SystemGroup/systemgroup.com.apple.mobilegestaltcache/Library/Caches/com.apple.MobileGestalt.plist

A backup will also be created.

/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.ichitaso.regionchanger.plist

Tap "Restore" to return to the previous region.

Reboot and ldrestart, userspace reboot functions are added in the app, but they do not work on rootless jailbreak such as XinaA15.

You can also check device model, ECID, etc.

When uninstalling, it reverts back to the original file and deletes the backup file.

I am looking to make the MacDirtyCow exploit available to non-jailbroken users and are releasing the source code.
